9.25.3.6 Protection from Soil Gas (Radon)

  • Radon can enter a house through any opening or crack that has soil on the other side of the wall or basement slab
  • Older homes may not be setup to mitigate radon gas the way a new home is
  • Making a home tighter can increase the possibility of radon ingress leading to radon poisoning
